Grounded Architecture designs residential architecture, including secondary dwellings, granny flats and detached dwellings, with a strong focus on site, climate, and liveability. Each home is individually tailored to its location, creating spaces that feel grounded, practical, and a pleasure to inhabit.

We has extensive experience navigating local planning and approval processes, allowing us to deliver clear, well-resolved documentation from early design through to construction. Whether working on a compact secondary dwelling or a more complex residential project, we approach every brief with the same level of care, clarity, and attention to detail.

Chuck is a registered architect and Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) member, specialising in residential architecture, including bespoke homes, secondary dwellings, and small-to-medium scale residential projects. He has experience across the full project lifecycle, from early design and planning approvals through to construction documentation and contract administration.

He works effectively in collaborative team environments and brings strong expertise in client liaison, consultant coordination, and documentation delivery, ensuring designs are both refined and buildable. His residential work is guided by a strong understanding of site, climate, and regulatory frameworks, resulting in homes that are functional, well-resolved, and responsive to their context.

Chuck’s approach to architecture is grounded in the belief that well-considered residential design can meaningfully enhance everyday living. This philosophy underpins his work, with a focus on clarity, comfort, and long-term value for clients.

Outside of practice, Chuck enjoys exploring different cultures through travel and food. He is an active member of the local Korean community and values the professional and social connections it fosters.
